Installation/Wheel Care

Congratulations on your new wheels!

Your wheels have been crafted from the highest quality materials and designed to meet industry-leading standards. To ensure their longevity and performance, please follow these installation and care guidelines closely. Proper installation and maintenance will keep your wheels looking brand new for years to come.

IMPORTANT: Soul Forged Wheel Installation and Long-Term Care

  1. Inspect the wheels upon receiving them and before mounting tires. Check for the correct finish, bolt pattern, center bore diameter, brake caliper clearance, lug bolt protrusion, and the proper offset for your vehicle. We highly recommend fit-checking the wheels on your vehicle before mounting the tires.

  2. Use only tires that meet your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended sizes, load, and speed ratings. Incorrect tire sizes can cause significant safety issues and damage to your vehicle’s systems, such as the transmission, AWD components, or body panels. Soul Forged is not responsible for damage caused by improper tire fitment.

  3. Ensure the tire bead seat area is generously lubricated before mounting tires.

  4. Use a contact-free tire mounting machine to avoid damaging the wheels during installation.

  5. Use stick-on weights for balancing.

  6. Confirm that the lug seats match the lug nuts or bolts (conical, ball, etc.).

  7. Before final torque, ensure that the wheels sit flat and flush on the vehicle hubs without interference. Torque the lugs according to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications, and check for fitment interference by rotating the wheels.

Proper Lug Tightening:

Use a cross-pattern method for tightening the lugs to ensure proper seating.

  1. After installation and before driving, double-check for any fitment issues. Once on the ground, take a short test drive and re-check the torque on all lug nuts or bolts.

  2. If you're keeping your original equipment wheels as spares, store the correct lug nuts or bolts and a properly sized lug wrench in your vehicle.

Long-Term Care for Your Soul Forged Wheels

  1. Do not loosen or remove any wheel assembly bolts. Doing so will void the warranty.

  2. Regular cleaning is essential, especially in areas with harsh weather or road salts. Follow these guidelines for cleaning:

    • Never use chemical-based or harsh cleaning solutions.
    • Use only mild soap, water, and a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
    • Avoid spray-on, hose-off cleaners, as they may damage the finish and void the warranty.
    • Allow wheels to cool before cleaning, and wash them in the shade when possible.
    • Consider applying a soft paste, wax, or ceramic coating to protect and enhance your wheels (not recommended for unprotected polished surfaces).
  3. Storing Your Wheels:

    • Clean wheels before storing.
    • Store in the original packaging if possible, or in plastic bags with the air removed, sealed with tape.
    • Avoid storing wheels or tires directly on bare concrete.
    • If stored on tires, stack them on their side, no more than four wheels high, with a piece of cardboard between each for stability.
  4. Inspect your wheels regularly for minor damage, especially during tire changes or cleaning. If damage occurs, contact a Soul Forged Wheels representative for repair options or reach out to a local wheel repair specialist. Light repairs, such as sanding or color correction, will not void the warranty.

By following these guidelines, you’ll keep your Soul Forged wheels looking and performing at their best!
